Blyth Pods
Community > Training > Enterprise > Sustainable
The pods aims to introduce a multifaceted training programme to an area with high unemployment, This could be done in a variety of ways such as;
Apprenticeship schemes for school leavers
Upskilling / retraining out of work skilled workers
Harnessing skill sets of semi retired trades people
Co-ordination with local accredited providers
Along with creating training programmes for local people there is also the opportunity for local startups to use a pod as a startup location to get their business off the ground.
Training is a crucial part to the project as it gives the participants a new set of skills or expand on the skills that were already there. There are multiple pathways for each person involved in the training program such as;
CAD (Computer aided design)
Business Administration
Sales
Manufacturing
Construction
Public Relations
Using a team of in house designers and engineers we can design a pod to suit your needs.
There is a large aspect of enterprise to the project as it allows the concept of the pods to develop. Along with that there is also the enterprise aspect to the community. These include and are not limited to;
Start up businesses
Market Traders
Independent traders
Ticket booths
Kiosks
The pods are built using the latest materials and techniques to make it sustainable. (Stainless steel structure, Insulated floor and walls) this is to make sure that the pod doesn't require a large amount of energy to heat. Using locally sourced materials we can cut down on the carbon dioxide released by the transportation process.
